today we’re gonna go over how to take an asset from a metamask wallet and take it over to a phantom wallet. Now one thing to know about a meta mask wallet and Phantom wallet is they operate on different blockchains meta mask is an Ethereum blockchain wallet, and a Phantom is a Solana blockchain wallet. If for whatever reason you don’t have a metamask wallet yet, I will drop a link on how to make one in the description of this video. This is my metamask wallet. As you can see, in this particular wallet, I have about 0.0262 eth, which is about $85.22 right now, and I’m going to send about 0.02 eth
Over from Metamask. And my goal is to get that value over into my Solana wallet. And then I want to end with having s rally which is the Solana rally blockchain in my wallet, you could do this with whatever different currency whatever pattern but that is the example that I’m gonna be using. You could use this as a swap to any Solana blockchain asset. So the first thing you’re gonna need is you’re gonna need some form of exchange. In my example, I’m going to be using Coinbase because it both supports Ethereum and Solana blockchain assets. The first thing you need to do is find Ethereum on Coinbase or go to trade and then click on Ethereum. And then go to the wallet, then you’re going to want to go to this sidebar where it says.
Received, click on receive, and then copy your wallet address which is your Ethereum wallet address. Click that and then go back to your Metamask app in metamask, we’re going to go to send and click send and paste that same exact wallet address. Now will want you to verify that this address is correct because if this address is incorrect, then your assets can be sent to a wallet and you can lose them forever. So I’m gonna go ahead and send 0.02 ETH from my metamask wallet to my Coinbase wallet. When you’re ready, just hit next just keep in mind there will be a gas fee says which will be about $2.87. If you want to wait until the gas fees go down, you could always click Edit, and then put the gas fees that you’re willing To pay.
And hit saves and confirm and it won’t go through until this gas fee dips to the point that you want. When you’re ready, just go ahead and hit Confirm. Once the transfer goes through, you can go ahead and go back to Coinbase or whatever exchange you’re using under assets you’re gonna see all the assets that you have in your portfolio, and we’re gonna need to do is click on Ethereum. Once you’re in Ethereum, you’re going to be able to go over to convert click convert, and switch the two to Solana then you’re going to need to decide how much you want to convert in USD value. I’m just going to convert all my Ethereum into Solana. So I’m going to click convert all. Now it’s showing how many souls I will be getting for the amount Of Ethereum that I’m trading for it.
So I have my Ethereum and then I have one Ethereum that will give me 28.73 and change of soul and there is no Coinbase V and then I will be able to just swap it out. So if I hit convert now I will swap out all my Etherium for Seoul. I’m gonna hit convert now I have converted all of my Etherium that was in that wallet into Seoul. Now if I go to my assets, I have $70.29 of Seoul or 0.634563103 Seoul. So the next thing that I want to do is transfer this soul to my Phantom Solana Wallet. So I’m just going to click it and then I’m gonna click on Wallet. So we’re going to come over to this right-side column where it says Pay with Solana and two and we’re gonna have a mobile email or address and we’re gonna have.
To go over to our Ethereum wallet to go grab our address to put into this spot. So now we need to grab our Solana wallet address from our phantom Wallet. So we’re just going to open the Phantom wallet, and this is the wallet that I want to send it to. So if I just click Copy to Clipboard, it will copy the clipboard, then I’m just going to select how much I want to send, I’m just going to send all $70.46 At the current price. And then I’m going to paste in the address that I want to send it to. Double-check this address and make sure that this address is correct because I always go by the rule of thumb of measure twice cut once because if this address is incorrect, it can go to the wrong address and you’ll lose all of your funds.
If you’d like to leave a memo you can otherwise just hit Continue. Coinbase does not charge any fee to send this but there is a small network fee and they’re usually pretty small on the Solana blockchain. When you’re ready, hit Send Now. If you have two-factor authentication, just verify your authentication and you’re ready to go and the transaction has been started it may take a couple of minutes before your funds end up in your phantom wallet. Now if I click on the Phantom wallet, it will bring up and show that I have SOL in my wallet. So $70.02 in SOL. Now I want to convert that SOL into S rally which is the Solana rally. Before I do that, I’m gonna just gonna go ahead and add in the s rally token so you could see it in the Phantom Wallet.
So I’m gonna hit manage token list. And I’m just going to search for s rally which s and RL Why don’t bring it right there. So I’m just going to toggle that on so when I receive rally on the Solana network in this wallet, it will show up in my wallet. I’m gonna hit close. Now to swap my Solana for s rally I need to go to a different site. So I’m going to go to the orca.so The first thing you’re going to Want to do is to connect your phantom wallet to the orca. so and in this case, we are using Phantom. So I’m gonna click connect a wallet and click Phantom. If you’re using one of the other wallets, you go ahead and click the one that you’re you’re using, I’m gonna click Phantom, And it connected to my wallet.
The first time that you go to this site, you may need to actually sign to verify that you want it to connect to the website and that says for your protection. So now what we want to do is we want to swap our Solana for whatever other currency we’re going to do, and we’re trying to get s rally. So I’m just gonna type that again, s rally. And now I have that. So now I’m going to swap some of this SOL for some s rally. Now it says that that is a fair price, the price impact on liquidity pool, the minimum that you will receive because it does constantly fluctuate. And then there’s the swap fee. And that’s how these websites actually make money in order to swap your currencies. When you’re ready,
Just hit swap, it’s going to bring up your wallet and you’re going to need to approve it to allow it to swap the currencies. When you’re ready. It approved your swap has been completed, you traded your SOL for your S rally. And you could view that on Soulscan if you’d like as you can see on Soulscan, it says the transaction has been successful. Now if I go back to my Phantom wallet minus the small fee, it shows that I have $68.80 or 387.8338 s rally and that’s how you could take your Ethereum base currencies on Metamask and swap them for Solana base currencies on the Phantom wallet or any other currency that supports the Solana blockchain.
